‘The Midnight sun’
The midnight sun is a natural wonder, when during the summer months in the northern hemisphere, the sun remains above the horizon during the midnight hour. This occurrence usually coincides with the summer solstice. Usually referred to as the longest day of the year, or the days where the sun doesn’t set. Growing up in southern Sweden, midsummer and celebrations surrounding this day were a huge part of culture. This artwork tells a story of a princess and the boar king roaming through the forest in the light of the midnight sun.
