This piece is specifically inspired by the Irish legend ‘The children of Lir’ A tragedy following the lives of the four children of King Lir. The four children were turned into swans by their stepmother and cursed into exile for 900 years.
It is a poignant story and powerful one. A story of loss, love, family and the heartbreak of being unable to return home as well as the embrace between father and child.
